For Children

To experience a wide variety of age appropriate play and educational materials.
To play successfully with peers.
To develop large and small muscles through varied appropriate activities.
To learn positive conflict resolution.
To increase independence and self-confidence.
To develop speaking and listening skills.
To learn to acquire information about the world around them.
To organize their thought processes.

For Parents

To increase awareness of child development through parent-teaching experiences and parent education.
To learn from speakers and discussions on parent-child relations.
To contribute to Tigard Playschool by parent-teaching, serving on committees, and working to maintain the facilities.
